June 9, 2010 – New Website Launch

Featured Trades: (NEW WEBSITE LAUNCH)

1) With much fanfare and celebration, I am happy to announce my new state of the art website for www.madhedgefundtrader.com . The ground up rebuild offers vastly enhanced functionality and ease of use. For a start, the old website, Hedge Fund Radio, and the blog have been consolidated into a single site. There is a faster and more powerful engine to search the 2½ year, 400,000 word data base. Navigation is more efficient and economical. Mobile access has been greatly enhanced. There are icons to sign up for RSS feeds, and my own headline service through Facebook and Twitter. You can easily forward stories to friends or staff with a 'share this' function. If you look on the right sidebar, there is a listing of frequently mentioned subjects and stock symbols, with the most important topics presented in the largest type font. My 'Trade School' has been converted into a bookstore with direct links to Amazon where buyers can take advantage of discount pricing. You can also buy gold and silver bars and coins on Amazon. Hedge Fund Radio programs can be listened to on the site, copied to your own computer, or downloaded as podcasts for free on Apple's ITunes. Just go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/ and do a search for 'Diary of a Mad Hedge Fund Trader'. Of course, I'll be taking on new advertising to pay for all of this, but it will be focused on investment themes in ETF's.  My original site was based on a very cheap and simple program intended to help a high school student finish a weekend homework assignment. Once my site passed 700 pages and started consuming a terabyte a month in bandwidth, not enough spit, duct tape, and bailing wire could keep it going. But it did get me up to a Google ranking of 5. The goal of the new site is to help you improve your own investment returns. Good trading, and thanks for your support!
