This has been a fantastic week for bond bears. The (TBT) has rocketed from $54.00 to $59, a nearly 10% move. Yields on the ten-year Treasury bond have soared from 2.32% to 2.60%.

It is now almost certain that the top in prices and the bottom in yields was hit last week on the European Central Bank?s desperate move to reflate their economy though aggressive quantitative easing.

Since I am the Mad Hedge Fund Trader, and not the Mad Long Term Investor, I am going to ditch this position and come out of this long-suffering position just above my cost. Markets have to breathe, and we have gone from a bond market that was extremely over bought to extremely over sold in a scant 7 trading days.

I?ll be back in on the next dip in the (TBT). Long term investors should just hold on.
